TOP 4 MISCONCEPTIONS BEGINNERS HAVE About HIP HOP DANCE CLASS
1. You Have To Be Cool- Most beginner hip hop dancer think if they are not cool enough they can’t take hip hop class. This is absolutely not true. If you feel that your not cool enough, taking a hip hop dance class is how you will gain your cool. Go ahead and sign up for your beginning hip hop dance session. Then tell you friends that you can’t hang out cause you got to go to you hip hop dance class . See just how cool you will be. They will be amazed that you doing something so cool.
2. You Have To Dress A Certain Way Yes hip hop dance is about style and personality. Everybody has their own style. You can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident about yourself.
3. You Have To Be Part Of A Hip-Hop Dance Crew. Being a part of a beginnig hip hop dance class means discovering your individuality through hip hop dance. You don’t have to be a part of a Hip hop dance crew to take a hip hop dance class.
4. You Have To Be As Good As The Other People In The Dance Class. The great thing about Ography’s beginning hip hop dance sessions for adults is that everyone will come in at the same level and move together as to improve their hip hop dance skills. This way no one feels less than anyone else and no one will be left behind.

Lawrence Taylor Edyta Sliwinska came into Ography to get ready for their performance on Dancing With The Stars. Let me tell ya, I love Football so when I heard that Lawrence Taylor the greatest defensive player in the history of National Football League would be coming to my studio Ography Dance Studio I was too geeked.
I couldn’t wait to meet the Football legend. When we met it was cool. He is huge, The NFL players are from another planet , I had to look up at him the same way I did when Warren Sapp came to Ography.

As I mention Before My Studio Ography Dance Studio is Home to Dancing With The Stars. This week I Watched David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson get prepared for the show. While watching David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson rehearsal for Dancing With The Star I helped critique their dance to help them make sure they where covering all their bases for a great performance.
They make what they do look so easy. If your not a performer let me tell its not easy at all. A lot of hard work goes in to making it look like a piece of cake. David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson work damn hard to make there performance look flawless. They are very intense in rehearsal, They put blood sweat and tears in to each and ever move. If you haven’t had a chance to check them out Please do. They are great dancers and also great people.
Oh Yea, David Alan Grier is funny as hell. I also got a chance to work with him on a movie called Dance Flick it will be out in the Summer.

If You havn’t hear Dancing With The Stars Is back in full effect and like always i get the first scoop on the the Dancer and The Star. This Week we have Steve Wozniak.
Steve Wozniak founded Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) with Steve Jobs. His inventions and machines are credited with contributing significantly to the personal computer revolution of the 1970s. Wozniak created the Apple I and Apple II computers in the mid-1970s. The Apple II gained much popularity, eventually becoming one of the best selling personal computers of the 1970s and early 1980s.
Well Know Steve Wozniak is in a whole new ball game. Instead of putting together complicated Computers for apple now he has to put together complicated dance moves But he is doing a great job In rehearsal. Chopper Teaches Katie Price and Peter Andre and family Hip Hop Dance Moves.

You wont believe it… Today I taught a private lesson to the infamous Katie Price and Peter Andre and their 3 kids. I had a great time with them. The kids where blast to be around. I taught them some simple but fresh hip hop dance moves. Peter was very into learning my hop dance moves. After the class Peter let me listen to his new songs, let me tell you he got some dope tracks. So I freestyled for him and he loved my hip hop dance moves and asked me to be his choreographer for his upcoming album. Katie didn’t dance that much cause she was watching their little daughter Princess Tiàamii. All in all we had a great time much love to the whole family. checkout the video and leave me a comment.

We had our first celebrity from Dancing With The Stars at Ography Dance Studio. It was the famous singer song writer Jewel. very nice lady, she is learning how to the cha cha cha for her first dance. According to LYNN ELBER from Huffington Post “relationships may be put to the test this time around, with couples taking to the dance floor with and against each other”. Jewel will be going up against her very own husband Ty Murray. Ty Murray is a redeo campion so he knows what competition is all about. I Think that Jewel is going to blow him away. I hope it doesnt affect there relationship. Will their love be able to handle the intense competition. Only time will tell.

I don’t watch a lot of TV. but the other night i saw Americas Best Dance Crew. I have to say the group Dynamic Edition blew me away. They are so funky and their moves are so clean. They are just real exciting to watch. I love when i see new dance styles mixed with hip hop. I feel like i’ve seen the other crews before just on a different show, “same moves different stage” they are not doing anything i havnt seen already. Dynamic Edition is fun to watch. check em out if you get a chance.

They where rehearsing for a charity saveasoul.info event that they will performing in. The charity is for kids with terminal illness. these girls really inspire me and hopefully they will inspire you.

So i told yall i was going to keep you posted on the progress of the girl group that i’m putting together. This past Sunday we got together and they had there first vocal lesson with mell. For 1 hr they work on there Do, Ray, ME and begun to harmonize. Then i took over . We talked about what it takes to be a great performer. After that we worked on walks. As a performer you want to have a strong stage presence and that presence starts with the walk. so we focused on walks for the remainder of lesson. they really let go and let their inner self shine. So yall know i love dancing hip hop but one of my favorites styles of Hip Hop is Poppin. I don’t know what its is about poppin that i love so much. from the music to the amazing moves that can be done with in the style of poppin or Funk style I love all of it. On special occasion i teach a how to poppin class. I break down the techniques of how to pop so that anyone can master the art of popping. I will be launching another workshop in the New Year so be looking for it. Check out the one i did over the summer for The Hollywood Summer Tour a group of amazing dancers. We had so much fun.
